| Hello, I remember you from the chilel forum! - Mimi, Saturday:February:24:2007, 9:15
| Reply | Hi Jeremy, We communicated a few years ago. Just wanted to say hi because I found this forum looking for some connection with other chilel or zhineng practitioners. I'm in Seattle, and have been practicing on my own for many years now. Nobody here to practice with, unless I drive 8 hours or so to see Master Mingtong Gu. Maybe I'll meet someone in my part of the US on your site. I'm happy to see your wonderful website and to read about all your experiences with qigong. I hope your health, your practice and your teaching is going well. Sincerely, Mimi

| Reply | Hi Ben, Life More Abundant is a great book. The authors of this English version are Xiaoguang Jin and Joseph Marcello. The best thing about this book, I think, is that it is based on the original teachings of Professor Pang Ming and includes the theories and instruction on the practice of Zhineng Qigong. I ordered my copy from www.amazon.com and it arrived within two days. Enjoy! G

| 3rd Malaysia singapore Zhineng Qigong Fellowship 2005 - Thomson Choo, Monday:June:27:2005, 5:53
| Reply | The Zhieng Qigong Fellowship 2005 has sucessfully held on the 28th and 29th May 2005. This event has attracted more than 1000 participants from all over Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and China. On the first day afternoon, there were two sessions held simultaneously on two venue: The Body and Mind Method session attracted about 300 because of limitation of space and the other 700 practised the first level method, LQUPD. Each event is conducted by teachers from China , Luan Yifun Laoshi and Chen Qinchuan Laoshi. Two experiments were done at the end of the practice, healing the cracked eggs and the twisting of the spoon. Both experiments are the eye opener to many new practioners. On the night of 28th May 2005, is one of the highlight of the Fellowship. There were five practioners have came up to stage to speak out and share their successful healing stories. They came from different walks of life, but sharing the common goal to fight to gain their normal healthy life. For more infos and photos, please log on http:// groups.msn.com/zhinengqigong

| Practicing with non-ZN practioners - Lisa, Friday:August:27:2004, 18:9
| Reply | Hi, I have recently met a lady in my neighborhood who practices Tai Chi and Qigong, but the Qigong isn't ZN or Chi-lel. I was wondering, would it be beneficial for us to practice at the same time, in the same place, but with two different methods?? Would we still get benefit from building a chi field together and gathering chi at the same time?? Thanks for any input... Chi to you all, Lisa

| Reply | Hi again, Well, no one has yet responded, so I'll just tell you what has happened--We decided to practice together once a week and so far we've practiced twice together. For the first half an hour we each do our "own thing", then for the second half hour, we do something together. So far, we've done the Tui La/ Push Pull cassette together. And the results are positively electrifying. We can feel the chi pulsing at the end of our finger tips and in our hand. We are both quite excited. And she is now quite interested in learning more about ZN Qigong! I consider the experience thus far to be a success! Loving chi to you all-- Lisa

| New Look for Gong Community! - Jerry, Wednesday:August:25:2004, 20:6
| Reply | I have improved the display of Journal Notes and logging for the Gong Community service. To see it click on "Gong Community" on the left hand menu and then click on "View Current Gongs" on the main page. New Features added: 1. Profiles that have been inactive for more than 100 days are hidden from view (but they can still login, their profile has not been deleted). This prevents the listing of current gongs from being overcrowded with profiles created by people that don't continue come back to the site. 2. Clicking on "log" next to a participant will display a list of all their journal entries in one go so that a participants progress, challenges and success can be easily read. 3. A new column to count the number of gongs completed by a participant has been added. For example three consecutive logs of 130, 100 and 203 days respectively will count as 4 gongs (1+1+2). 130, 89, 203 will be counted as 3 gongs since the second log of 89 days consecutive practice did not meet the minimum requirement of 100 days to be counted as a gong. 4. A new column shows the number of days since last login. 5. A new column shows the number of journal entries recorded.

| Stuck Chi?? - Lisa, Tuesday:June:15:2004, 13:30
| Reply | Hi everyone... I have a heavy sensation in my forehead when I practice LCUPCD. It happens almost every time--more often than not. I have to say it's a pleasant sensation and almost always makes me smile and I want to keep feeling it once it begins. I haven't gotten a headache after feeling that sensation, it just goes away after I get out of the chi state. Is it stuck chi? If it is, what do you recommend to do to get it unstuck?? If not, then what is it? Thank you for any input. Lisa

| Stuck Chi - StevenL, Wednesday:June:16:2004, 10:53
| Reply | Hi Lisa, If it goes away after a while and not causing you any discomfort, just ignore it. I often have that feeling but choose not to do anything about it. Sometimes it stays for the whole day. I know the chi is tryig to clear any blockage in the head. The Body and mind "Flex legs" helps to bring chi down from the head. I hope that helps. StevenL

| Healing Crisis? - Lisa, Monday:April:26:2004, 13:17
| Reply | I was wondering if people have had a healing crisis while doing Chi Lel? I'm working on my second gong, and for the past few days, I've felt crummy--headache (migraine), vomiting, diarrhea, floods of inappropriate emotions... In other healing systems, these types of symptoms are seen as a healing crisis... but I've never heard of any one else mentioning anything about this topic... Any thoughts???

| Re: healing crisis - Jerry, Wednesday:April:28:2004, 19:2
| Reply | Hi Lisa, Definitely you can get a healing crisis. It's a kind of detoxification, which can happen on emotional levels too. All of the symptoms you are describing are what the body does to cleanse itself, so if you don't often experience these types of symptoms that's probably what it is. Of course it could be something else, like food poisoning, but the combination of emotional instability suggests healing crisis to me. If you feel on a higher level of health after this has passed than before it started then that is also an indication the it is a healing crisis. Jerry

| Reply | Hi Gongsters, I just sign up for the gong community and was wondering if there is a way to start it on the day I first began my Gong? That date was March 15, 2004 USA Time. Plus can you post more than one gong? I have started two more gongs both on March 25, 2004. Lastly, I didn't see how to put notes on the gong days. I am dong the work to start a Chi-Lel practice here in Atlanta GA USA-can you offer me any suggestions that has worked for ou on how to market this and establish a client base to spread the "chi". Thanks and much Chi to you and your love ones, Daniel Hegerich

| Gong Community etc. - Jerry, Saturday:April:3:2004, 10:36
| Reply | Hi Daniel, currently the software only allows you to start a gong in one of the previous 5 days. But as you're the second person to want to start on an arbitrary date, I'll try and fix it so you can do that. I had the idea to coordinate more than one gong under one profile, but decided to keep it simple at first. Maybe one day! In the meantime, there's nothing to stop you creating a second profile 'DanielHegerich2' and starting your second gong there. Notes can be put on the gong chart after you've completed a day, i.e. where a smiley face or a sad face is. Just click on the face and you can write a note! As to inceasing your market base, give leaflets to distribute in local complemntary health practices, talk to doctors who might suggest your course to their 'difficult to help' patients, etc. But the best way is word of mouth, someone who's had benefit from your teaching will enthusiastically promote your services! Hope this helps! Love and chi - Jerry

| community - Daniel, Monday:April:5:2004, 22:50
| Reply | I am now getting a sense of the community I have longed for in my heart and in my mind. Thank you Jerry for putting this forum together so that we may encourage all of us to do the gongs-most importantly and then share it with others. I will work on the flyer and a then a room to rent out. My thoughts are to hold a seminar first then have a class available for group practice. Is this in line with what you have also done to get your practice into a business? Dan

| seminar - Lisa, Friday:April:23:2004, 14:50
| Reply | Hi Jerry, So what materials did you present at the first seminar? Was it something you worked up yourself, or only the official Chi Lel info, or a combination?? Could one use some of the info posted here on your site?? And... were you already a certified teacher at the time you first began?? Master Luke has told me that it was okay for me to get a group together for practice, even now before I have been certified, although I have yet to get it going... but God willing--soon! Another question: If I do get a group going, then will they be considered to be working on their first gong?? Thanks for the info, and again, thanks for this community...Please keep it going. As you know, I have a lot of things going on in my mind about what I want to do with Chi Lel, and I'm thinking of referring any other students here in UAE to our community. I think it would be a great encouragement for them to practice daily as part of the Gong Community. ...Let's keep on dreaming--until the dreams become reality!! Chi to you all... Lisa

| Re: seminar - Jerry, Sunday:April:25:2004, 14:38
| Reply | My first seminar was combined with group practice. The key is to use your own enthusiasm, but be clear to underline the the bounds of your own knowledge. Just use the material from the 101 miracles book to give examples of case studies. Also be aware that the examples in this book practiced minimum of 8 hours a day - so don't give your class unrealistic expectations if they're only going to do 20 minutes. Feel free to use information from this site if you feel it helps, but remember this site is not endorsed by chi-lel and I give no guarantees for the accuracy of its information; it is presented in good faith. I wasn't a certified teacher when I started introducing chi-lel to others. That's the key, at that stage you're 'introducing' more than 'teaching', although at any level you're doing some degree of both. Hope this helps - Jerry

| Reply | Hi Daniel.... I'm in about the same situation as you... I want to start a Chi Lel practice here in the United Arab Emirates since I've not been able to locate anyone else here that has even heard of it! I've had the gong tapes for a few years, and have practiced off and on over the years, but I have never concentrated on finishing a gong until now. I just finished my first Gong yesterday!! What I wanted to ask, was what other gongs are you doing at the same time, and how are you doing that? I thought the gongs were sequential. Could you explain? I'm simply thinking, hey, if you've found some way to get through this quicker, then I'd sure like to be in on it!!! Oh, and... is there any certification for you at the end of the road??? | Gongs - Daniel, Monday:April:5:2004, 22:57
| Reply | Hi Lisa, Isn't it great to know someone else who is at the same crossroads? Well perhaps we can lift each other up and pour chi down. There is no quicker way to becoming certified without doing the work. So, I am doing LCUPCD gong, reading 3 stories each day from 101 Miracles, and I am also doing LCUPCD/3-Centers Merge Combo. Although this one isn't a required gong it is in preperation to doing 3-Centers Merge Gong, 6-Directions Gong, and Wall Squating Gong. With regards to wall squating I have started a gong of 10 per day but it is drastically modified for my level. Therefore, I am not going to count it as an official gong but a personal gong. With my current practice I should complete all necessary gongs by the end of 2004. Which I ask everyone to send me Fa Chi in order to accomplish this goal. When I finish Level one gongs I'm off to China for 1-2 months of concentrated practice with Luke for Level 2 training. I would love anyone else intersted to let me know. Dan

| Gongs... - Lisa, Wednesday:April:7:2004, 6:0
| Reply | Wow Dan, that sounds great! You have quite a plan. I hope that it works out for you. You mentioned that you're doing 10 wall squats a day, modified... Wall squats are troubling me. I can do 25 modified (standing about a foot's length away from the wall and at a corner so that I can put my hands up in case I need help. Unfortunately, my thighs are one of the weakest parts of my body. After the 25 reps, I feel like I'm exhausted--like it was a huge struggle just to get them done. The amazing thing is that it doesn't seem to be getting a whole lot easier. Is this due to poor form??? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to successfully complete the wall squatting???? The 100 squats Gong is looming... Also.... my Level one set of cassettes is quite old. Mine doesn't have the six directions Gong. Where do I even get a new set or the subsequent sets?? I've long since lost touch with the lady whom I got them from, in addition to moving half way around the world from where I was at the time! And last, but not least... I was quite saddened to have recently learned that the Zhineng Hospital was closed down (that's how far behind I am in the news.) But it has increased my resolve to get my certification. Chi-Lel is such a wonderful healing method. We cannot let the practice fade away because of the dispersion caused by the closing down of the hospital. But, rather, it should be it's strength. Wouldn't it would be wonderful to see the establishment of other "Medicineless Hospitals" throughout the world??? I have it as a dream to establish one here in the UAE---someday....God willing. But first things first....!! Love, light and chi to all--- Lisa

| Wall Squating - Daniel, Sunday:April:11:2004, 20:20
| Reply | Hi Lisa, Your problem with wall squating is most certainly common with everyone who begins them. I have had the same difficulities you describe and this is how I modified my squat. I approached a pole just like a correct wall squat and placing my forehead, nose and feet up against the wall I just sat down. I did this where ever I could find a pole. Now, I have placed a 1000 page white pages telephone book under my heals. I can now do ten excellent modified wall swquats-although my toes are still about 2 inches away from the wall-Each day that I am able to do 10 I tear away 3 pages (one for body, mind and spirit). My thighs also burn quite a bit but this reminds me to focus more on mingmen area and not my thighs. I find it very difficult to quite my racing mind and this is my struggle so far. I'm about 30 days into this gong and can really feel the mental/emotional blocks surfacing. But, I'm going to keep sailing through the emotional storms to calm seas....You can purchase new cd's from www.chilel.com and the Medicineless Hospital is a great idea I wish to open something similar but with additional focus on nutrition, humor, and life style changes to help keep the momentum up. First thiings first. Chi, Daniel

| Wall squatting - Lisa, Tuesday:June:15:2004, 13:38
| Reply | Hi Daniel, I tried the phone book thing, and it didn't work for me. I found it distracting to have something under my feet. I just surrendered and moved back a bit more from the wall---that helped. I can now do the 25 fairly easily. I haven't found a pole to try that ... hmmm... You mention emotional storms...I found I often face blocks... I put off practicing until some crazy hour of the morning (1 a.m, 2 a.m.) and then I'm so tired. It seems so self defeating and I wonder if that's not what my unconscious mind is doing. However, I force myself and I've persisted, despite it. I'd sure like to get over this "hump" though. It's not a good place to be. Any ideas?? How are things going with your practice these days?? I'm starting to feel that I'm the only one who visits this great website :-(( I'd sure hate for it to close down out of lack of traffic... Chi to you, Lisa

| Reply | Don't worry, this site won't close down due to lack of traffic! :) As to wall squats, I used to do the same, putting them off until the last minute. Try doing them in the morning instead, and use the evening/night as a reverve in case you really can't face doing them one morning. When I used to do them in the morning, I was forced to do them at a certain time since I had to get to work etc. Good luck! Jerry

| Wall Squatting - Lisa, Friday:July:2:2004, 20:50
| Reply | Hi Jerry! Great to see you back online.... are you back to the UK or still in Malaysia?? I think I've been forced to give up on the possibiltiy of a trip to Malaysia this summer--although there may still be an outside chance... In the meantime, I'll just keep plugging along... My wall squatting is going okay. But I'd love to see a day when they're easy--but it just hasn't happened yet. But, as I mentioned above, I've not been as diligent about allotting a specific time for my practice, although things have gotten better in the last few days... Hopefully the trend will continue!! I'll keep up the faith and hope I am able to improve!! Chi to you... Lisa BTW---good luck with your 3 centers merge Gong!!

| Reply | Hi Lisa - great work on finishing your first gong!! It's such a great feeling when you've done that! Gongs don't have to be sequential, but obviously it depends on how much time you can commit per day. Originally, when you finished a gong, and marked it off on a paper gong sheet, you sent it to Master Luke Chan and he would send you a badge from the centre in China. But I think he's run out of them now. However, if you're talking about teacher certification, then yes, but you have to get that from attending a workshop with Luke (or Patricia with Chi-Neng). Best Wishes, Jerry

| Gongs - Lisa, Monday:April:5:2004, 7:55
| Reply | Hi Jerry-- Aw Gee, you mean Luke's not giving out the badges anymore?? :-(( I was planning on sending in my (PAPER!) sheet. That shows how far behind I am in the Chi-Lel news. But I'm working on catching up! As for the Gongs, then, let me see if I understand--each tape represents a gong and if you more than one tape a day, then you are working on the same number of gongs as tapes. Is that right? But hang on, if I'm working on the second gong (as I indeed am), then must I do BOTH sides of the tape EACH day? Or can I alternate between the two, doing only one side a day?? (Which is what I did with the first gong.) And as for the teacher certification... is Chi-Neng identical to Chi-Lel in its forms? Can I practice with my Chi-Lel tapes and then hope to go for certification with Patricia? Thanks for the information and the encouragement. Looking forward to your reply. Lots of Chi and good wishes to you as well. Lisa

| Reply | The Zhineng Qiging Fellowship 2003 has successfully concluded on the 29th & 30th Nov 2003 in Batu Pahat, Malaysia. Pictures tells thousand stories. Please log on to : groups.msn.com/ZhinengQigong - We got six Laoshi ( teachers) from China conducted the various activities. Three of them speciallly flown from Shanghai, China to participate. - The numbers is slightly less ( 1,070 participants.) compare to Fellowship 2002 despite of very difficult situations. Our heartiest congratulations to the Working Committes ( very small numbers) for their confidence, courage and hardwork to make it a success. We will meet again in 2005. Thomson Choo
