Use mind-body training methods to bring about improvements in health, fitnesss, mood and relaxation.

What all mind body methods share is their use of persistent internal focus and awareness of bodily posture and movements to bring your mind into your body and fuse the two.

Excessive mental chatter and worry does exactly the opposite.

Mind body methods often use subtle body movement or static positions to force you to become more aware of the body. This in itself helps to calm the mind which opens the door to further perceptions and revelations. Some methods also require you to close your eyes, to remove outside distractions.

The movements used may be strecthes (as in yoga), or postural muscle training (as in qigong). Stretches serve the further purpose of increasing flexibility and energy circulation.
